As we near closer to February, the early looks at a number of Nike’s latest Black History Month sneakers are beginning to trickle in. Today it’s the KD 8 that we get a preview of, featuring a look right on par with the other models we’ve already seen like the Kyrie 2 and LeBron 13. The eight Kevin Durant signature shoe features the same multicolored afro-centric pattern with a black Flyweave construction, speckled midsole, and royal blue for the visible Zoom Air.
February’s Black History Month celebration is always met with open arms league-wide, and Nike Basketball is getting in on the action a bit early with a plethora of festive releases this January. The Nike KD 8 “BHM” is slated for a January 23rd release, as Kevin Durant’s eighth signature model is transformed through the use of Multi-Color arrangements on the Swoosh branding and tongue. That premium Flyweave woven technology allows for a flexible fit while one of the more unique outsoles in the KD signature series creates a ride like no other.
The Nike KD 8 “BHM” will be added to this year’s Nike Basketball 2016 “Black History Month” Collection that debuts in January 2016.“BHM” edition of the Nike KD 8 features a full Black-based upper with tribal detailing on the tongue and Nike Swoosh logo, along with a BHM-inspired laces and speckled midsole. Other details include ‘BHM’ on the heel, a slogan that reads ‘Power of One’ on the insole and is finished with an icy translucent outsole.
